On, Tuesday, August 20, People First of Fitzgerald hosted its first Appreciation Day. Initially, this show of appreciation was set to be held at the Jeff Davis Park in Irwinville, GA. However, due to rainy weather, the Fitzgerald Utilities Conference Room served as a great alternative. During this event, certificates and handmade bracelets were given out as a small tokens of appreciation. Those in attendance enjoyed fun, games and good food.

People First President, Brad King (left) and Treasurer, Tropecca Rose (far right) presented school supplies to Commissioner, Hope Harmon (center) for the back to school supply drive. This drive gives back to our local community and People First couldn’t wait to be a part of something so close to our own back yards.
In celebration of our anniversary, the JP Social Committee organized free snow cones. Nearly 200 snow cones were shared with the community. This was our way to scatter a little kindness on a hot summer day. Thank you to the team from Sno Biz and thank you to everyone who came out and join us in celebrating 47 Years of excellent services.
July was observed as Ultraviolet (UV) Safety Month. The JP Society Committee shared information and distributed sunglasses and visors to help raise awareness. The goal was to spread the word about how important it is to protect everyone’s skin from the harmful effects of UV rays.
