CHRISTMAS BACKPACKS is a great outreach ministry that is making a difference in the lives of children living in poverty. Over 300 backpacks were collected and volunteers worked together seamlessly, repackaging the backpacks, to make sure appropriate items were included.
JP Social Committee is driven to raise awareness on many levels. In November the topic was Diabetes Awareness which started with some delicious diabetic-conscious recipes. Later in the month, participants wore blue and formed the national symbol of diabetes (circle) around the American flag. These efforts represent support for all those who are battling this disease.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to focus and raise awareness on bullying. Participates dressed in blue and sported mix-matched shoes to encourage “Stomping Out Bullying”. During this month, many groups across the country released new resources, campaigns, and efforts aimed at bringing awareness to the issue of bullying.
