Reception for Martha Powers-Jones
On Wednesday – December 13th, People First of Fitzgerald attended the farewell reception for Martha Powers-Jones. Martha was Director of the Ben Hill County Library and through her leadership a great partnership was developed with The Jessamine Place. She strived to ensure that all people were treated with dignity and respect. The Jessamine Place will truly missed her.

Annually, in support of the Mayor’s Motorcade, staff from the Jessamine Place and People First present both gifts and a check in support of individuals who are still housed in Central Georgia State Hospital in Milledgeville. The Jessamine Place Annual Christmas Party was held on Tuesday, December 7 at the Monitor Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia. There were over 200 hundred people in attendance and a wonderful time was enjoyed by people served, family members, friends from the community and staff.
